You will find that Spectragram works better if you plug it into the speaker
jack rather than the headphone jack.  The head phone jack has an audio RC
network that rolls off the high frequencies.  This is not done when you use
the speaker jack. It is also advisable to disable the AGC while setting the
filters with Spectragram.

I suspect that the radio station is being rectified by the emitter/base
junction of the first transistor of the audio input of your computer.  It is
then amplified but the rerst of the stages.
