[Elecraft] Reasons to Split a K2/100?

Besides the ability to remote mount the PA (e.g. in a mobile), and keeping
the KPA100 and KAT100 in one box, are there any other reasons for
configuring a K2/100 in the split configuration?

(This has probably been discussed ad nausea, but I have been inactive on the
list for at least 18 months, and I have K2 #61 (yes, an XA version) that I
am taking up to version B, and will eventually be looking at the K2/100).

If I integrate the KPA-100 into my existing K2, I'll be able to swap from
QRP version to 100W by just swapping lids, correct? And I have to have the
KAT-100-1 as a separate "box"?

Offline emails are fine to keep the bandwidth down (address from my QRZ.COM
