I had forgotten about that one! I have a AADE LC meter and use it all =
the time. Great kit. Very accurate and useful.=20
You are right the kits I recommended are not all that useful if you are =
not building a radio but I think if the plan is to build a K2, K1 or KX1 =
then I would consider them almost a requirement unless you already own =
something similar. It is really just a matter of building them before =
you have the radio or after. If the goal is to get some practice before =
jumping into the K2 then any of these would be good to build the skills =
required.

While I think "test equipment" is the right answer, all of these that
Don has suggested are not all that useful until you have a rig.
I'd like to suggest the AADE (www.aade.com<http://www.aade.com/>) LC =
meter. It'll help when
building almost anything else. I have to admit, I've not built one,
but it comes with an unconditional guarantee.
