[Elecraft] K2 QUESTIONS

Good Morning

I am carrying out 40m TX Alignment (page 72) on my K2 and can only 
get 0.3W out with the power control set to 2W.  I have gone through 
the trouble shooting 155 on page 7 and have two questions, please?

1.  On the bottom of page 13 under ALC (control board), the manual 
says the VPWR line starts at pin 2 of U8 and then (on page 14) to 
check the DC voltage of pin 2 on U8, which should be 0.7-2.5VDC.  U8 
is a three pin IC (in, out and ground) whereas U6, which is mentioned 
in paragraph 3 (under ALC on page 13) is an eight pin device.  Is the 
wording correct, in which case what is pin 2 of U8, or should the 
reference to pin 2 on U8 really mean pin2 on U6?

2.  On the Parts Placement page in Appendix F, D19 and D20 are shown, 
whereas 	I was under the impression these are only used with the 
K60XV option and should be left blank on the K2?
