[Elecraft] DMM Recommendations

Hi, Ryan,

I used a simple (read: cheap) Radio Shack DMM for almost all of the K2 =
tests. The Ohmmeter portion is accurate, but the current portion was =
WAY off.

I needed to bring the Fluke DMM (sorry, can't remember the model) home =
from the office to set the bias on the 100 watt amp. The Radio Shack DMM =
was 350MA too high!

I'm sure partial to Fluke products, even the cheaper ones.

One other thing....Don't know if you have old eyes or young eyes, but =
the following product has been the best money that I ever spent in the =
hobby:

http://home.internetcds.com/~barbados/maglamp2.jpg

It is a Electrix 7428 P 226 Mag light with a 100watt quartz lamp and =
GLASS lens with swing-in diopter lens. Much sharper viewing than =
fluorescent ring-lights.

I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions for the DMM from these astute =
guys.

Happy building!
