[Elecraft] k2 no transmit power

Hi

The emitter of Q7 and Q8 are grounded so you should have 0 volts there. =
The other voltages sound about right. The most likely problem is a =
poorly stripped toroid lead on T2 or T1. I have also had a bad Q24 cause =
this problem. If you have a scope you can trace through the transmitter =
starting at the transmit mixer then to jumper W6 to Q5 to Q6 and to the =
finals. You should see a generally increasing signal as you go from =
point to point. If you do not have a scope you can use the RF probe to =
trace the signal. If you find a great loss of signal look around that =
circuit for wrong or missing parts, bad solder connections or solder =
bridges. A good going over of the area with a magnifying glass will =
sometimes find the problem.

my k2 seems to be dead on transmit but the receive is okay how can I
determine if it is the finals or some thing else? I have hooked my k2 =
up to
a watt meter with a dummy load and when I key down the watt meter does =
not
move at .1 watts power level. I can hear a carrier on my ts2000 on the =
same
frequency as the k2 when I key down with the same watt meter and dummy =
load
  hooked up
on transmit q7 and q8 base voltage is .640 the collector voltage is =
13.13
but there is no voltage on the emitter. so what else can I check =
before I
order new parts to fix my k2?
I also need to figure out what parts I need to order for the k2.

  see ya
