That was a bit of work! The band noise was not too bad but the QRM and QSB was a
bit much. I did not get the DX station until I was told to look over my shoulder. But
that did cover up a number of folks who may have been trying to check in. If you were
one of those trying and I missed you I am sorry. Our DX was running 100 watts into a
beam but he was S3 to me. Tom took him off frequency and got the particulars.
Thanks Tom. I did miss getting a few folk's serial numbers because of this. I'll try
harder next time. Hopefully the numbers I do have are the correct ones! I know if
they are not I will hear about it.

W0MFQ -Tom - MO - KX1 307 Sorry Tom in MO is too close to Tom in MO for comfort :)
WB6TQG - Phil - CA - K2 3713

While running through the check in list at the end I missed W1WCG. My finger must
have slipped or my mind is going. One or the other or both but my apologies go out to
Van. Didn't mean to miss you. Kudos to KD0RC - Len for catching my mistaken elision.

The net ran for over an hour today. The numbers were not as tough to copy as
fighting the pileup over my shoulder. There were so many folks sending at once I know
I missed a number of checkins and some numbers. If there are errors, and I am sure
there are, I promise to fix it and try harder next week. I also had a tough time keeping
up with some of the faster ops. I can only run at over 18 wpm with a tailwind so
remember when you were starting to learn code and slow down a bit.

I'll try to hold a slot open for the QRS folks next week. I received a number of emails
asking how to check in. But I do not have access to my computer while I am on the
radio. Yes I know, get with the '90s, but I like to separate my hobbies from my work. I
sit at a computer for 17 hours a day many days a week. I like a little respite from
them.

Sorry for my sloppy sending today but chores around the woodlot took their toll.
Thank you for checking and 73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class).
