I wanted to send this email to you first so you can decide if it has a
place on the Elecraft reflector since it is somewhat off topic.

I think now that the White House and President Bush have publicly joined
the BPL issue on the side of advocacy, we will have much more success
emailing the president directly at [email protected]
<mailto:[email protected]> in addition to emails to the FCC and
Mr. Powell. The White aides are very sensitive to the "volume" of
messages the White House receives on any particular issue.

With the FCC
and now the White House as proponents of BPL, we have already seen other
governmental agencies falling in line behind the issue, tempering their
previous statements against BPL as recently seen by FEMA's retraction.
If the White House gets thousands of emails in a short period of time
all explaining the misinformation being espoused by BPL proponents, I
think we have a much better chance of getting the issue exposed to the
President's administration as well as the FCC. Also, it is much easier
in many respects to send the President an email than navigate the FCC's
web site for some folks. Always keep your emails to the President
respectful and focused.
