After seeing the FingerDimple being used on the KX1 in the recent
CQ Magazine review of the rig I thought it was a great idea, especially
since the frequency coverage of the right is quite broad (ie SW bands as
well as 40-30-20M). I ordered a couple of packages and installed one
on my K1 as well as the KX1.
My conclusion, great device for the K1 but doesn't work for me on the
KX1.
I'm not sure what it is ... probably the angle of the KX1 knob
(pointing straight up.
I carefully peeled it off of the KX1 knob and installed it on another
mono-band CW
rig with a ten-turn pot. On the K1 I love it.
Perhaps if one used the trick from the QST review of the KX1 to put a
larger
rubber foot at the rear of the rig that may facilitate the use of a
spinner
on the knob.
My $0.02 worth.

P.S. The KX1 worked great for me in QRPTTF, if only the wind would have
been
kinder to my antenna! BTW I love the feel of the KXPD1 paddles, they
truly "makes"
the rig.
