I have been reading this thread, and I=92m in the same dilemma as Jeff
(AD9T).
I think that a better solution is to use the J1 and J2 connectors on the
K2 Control Board as basis, because there signals PD1 and PD2 are present
(output from the Product Detector), and also 12V and Ground. One can
then create a small PCB with a LM380 and a couple of discrete
components, including a trimpot to set the level and mount it all using
the J1 connector.
This only works if one does not have the KAF2 installed, because then
the J1 and J2 connectors are taken.
I will be trying out this solution in the near future and will post the
results on my homepage www.qsl.net/dk1htx when I=92m done.
