[Elecraft] K2 #4198 is born

After a small bout of K2-itus (the inability to remove a soldering iron
from your hand) over a wet Sunday, K2 #4198 spoke its first words (CQ)
yestarday.... Thanks to Elecraft for an excellent and amazingly thorough
kit - a couple of missing capacitors, but otherwise 100% there. Other
than building the first few cores (to stage 2 testing) with 1 turn too
many turns - everything worked first time - great!

I was in California for work a couple of weeks back and had a free
afternoon before going to the airport so just drove down to Aptos and
picked up the kit on a bit of a whim. I thought it would be a long time
until I found time to build it, but once I got some domestic jobs done I
ended up with a bit of a fixation. So - 20 hours spent and the basic rig
is complete - now just to add SSB, NB, 160m & the 100W PA and it will be
all ready to travel to 5U5Z for CQWW CW this year.
