"Seem to be audible" is far too tame. I'll give you the same
circumstances, and add that the key clicks will PREVENT YOU FROM
COPYING a signal anywhere near the noise.

This is not an exercise in arithmetic, it is 40 meters and any DX
contest, trying to copy the weak layer 500 Hz up or down from a clicky
station. I have experienced it personally many times.

The effect of MP's driving amps is well documented and altogether too
frequent. Since I have used the same method to measure both MP and K2
clicks, I know the difference, and at +/- 250 Hz, the unmodded K2 is
not ENOUGH better than an unmodded MP to keep from causing the same
kind of difficulties for the same signal strength.

If you use John's third set of curves (K2 Keying Spectrum), and take
the value at >> 300 << Hz (not 500), e.g. -32, you will get arithmetic
that matches my aching ears.

Since John was using 100 Hz bandwidth, want to measure the 100 Hz
bandwidth that begins at 250 Hz, or 250-350, which will be tabulated
at 300 Hz.
