Harry,

I would recommend that you build according to the instructions that you
received with your kit, and then when it is up and running properly, apply
the changes.

It IS possible to apply mods and changes as you go along, but unless you
have a lot of experience doing that kind of thing, I don't recommend it.  If
you do attempt it, be aware of what you are working on in each step and know
when to apply the changes - it is quite difficult to 'keep your head on
straight' while doing that because neither the original K2 assemble nor the
rework instructions are written for doing both at the same time.
