Bob:
Thanks very much and this manual answers all the questions I had.
Lyle sent me a note earlier pointing to it.
This has the filters you want, the variable bandpass filters
and mode selectable-user defined. AWESOME.
My kit was shipped today and I have to go away for a week.
Drat! By the time I get back, I will have dog-earred the
web site reading the pdf files!
I like the suggestion of the gentleman (sorry, its six in
the morning after an all nighter at work) of turning the
AF up and the RF down. I will try that after mine gets
built.

Bob,
I just checked the Elecraft web site and the KDSP2 manual is still
there <http://www.elecraft.com/manuals/KDSP2_A1.pdf>. The only
adaptive filters provided are for the autonotch and denoiser functions;
FIR filters are used for the bandpass filtering. Lyle included a brief
discussion of DSP filtering as part of the manual.
