[Elecraft] ? on filter passband

Hi folks:
Basic K2 3854 at completion. I note that the SSB signals are nicely centered
in the filter passband, but listening to the CW, its quite low--roughly
300-350 cycles (why one and not the other?). My first intent is to borrow a
freq counter and do the 4,000 BFO oscillator better. Then, can I adjust the
CW "tone" as centered in the filter passbands via the menu somehow? Also,
the speaker vibrates very annoyingly, but I vaguely recall reading something
about that on the list server. Lots to learn yet...
