I know a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since the ARRL lab
performed its expanded K2 tests back in 2000...
Their CW Transmit Frequency Accuracy Test originally showed that the K2
transmitted CW on 14.001.067 when set to 14.000.00. I don't know if this was
accounting for the fact that the K2 displays the would-be carrier frequency
or not. But, it's hard to believe that the radio could have been off by more
than 1 kHz!
How would current versions of the radio fare on the same test (I'm
currently building a K2)? I would think that, if properly aligned, it would
be within a few tens of Hertz...
Thanks, Michael N9BDF
