[Elecraft] KX1 problem?

When I use my XG1 to set the S9 level on my K2 with a wide filter and =
then change to a 200 hz. filter, the meter goes to S8.  When I try the =
same with my new KX1, the meter goes from S9 to S1.  This is with the =
filter in the narrowest setting.  Is this a problem?  Also, can anyone =
tell me what kind of tool that works well to set the 20 and 40 meter =
bandpass filters in the KX1.  None of my alignment tools seems to work =
well.  Is it a good idea to use a multimeter at the headphone jack to =
set the filters?   Thanks -  Rick - K7MW
