Well that is what I read in several of the reply comments.  I suspect it
is probably due to front end overload.  These devices were not designed
to work in strong RF fields.  They probably can be shielded.  I do know
that I can disrupt my DSL modem momentarily when I transmit on 80M with
just 100W.
