Forwarded on behalf of Marc/W6ZZZ.
I'll be using my K2/QRP (signing K6III) in Alpine county, and Al, AD6E
(signing W6CQP) will be using his K2/100 in Merced county. I see that
Jeff, WK6I will be running his K2/100 in Calaveras County.

----------
QRP has been a big deal in the California QSO Party (CQP) for years.

1600Z October 4, 2003 -- 2200Z October 5, 2003
Sponsored by the Northern California Contest Club (NCCC)
1. Last year there were a record 30 QRP logs submitted. This will be
the
fifth year that CQP has had an entry class just for QRP.

2. CQP has plaques (wood and metal, not mere wallpaper!) for the top
California and top non-California single operator QRP entries, sponsored
by AJ6V
and W6ISQ.

3. Last year the QRP plaque winners were W3SE/6 and N9NE.
3. N6MU (@N6NB) holds the CQP record for QRP California (set in 2000).

4. N9NE holds the CQP record for QRP non-California (set in 2002 and
using an
Elecraft K2).

5. On a different subject - you could also add to your Worked All
California
Counties (WACC) award with a QRP endorsement. According to Ken/K6TA
nobody has a WACC award endorsed "all QRP" yet.
