Hi gang,
I would like to get the K2 into my car and use the 90 minutes of my day I
sit in traffic and do some hamming. I am thinking about a solution where I
don't have to drill holes or anything. Also, I do not want to obstruct the
passenger seat and I do not want to mount the rig on top of the cars dash
board.
My idea is to build a box from wood or sheet metal that is a little bit
bigger than the rig and put some padding inside so the precious rig is
protected. Then I could put the box plus rig with the controls facing up at
the leg space of the passenger seat, close to the middle console. The front
of the K2 could be very close to be level with the middle console and in
pretty good reach that way. Now the question is, how do you mount the box?
I am sure there are many Ops out there that have done something similar. I
would love to get some ideas from you (or photos if you have). Thank you
very much.
