Hey Thom,
Here in NJ we're ready to rock and roll! Got the batteries charged up
and have extra bottled water in case they tell us to boil water, like
they did after Floyd four years ago.
My vertical is close to the fence near the property line and there's
overgrowth from the neighbor's shrubs and bushes. I spent a few hours
pruning that all away as far as possible; so my Butternut won't get
snagged in anything. I spent some time resecuring the tie off ropes of
my G5RV; but gave the wire a tiny bit more than normal slack. From the
alerts I've been seeing; here in Central NJ we're supposed to miss the
brunt of it. But we're still forcasted to get wind gusts up to 75 MPH
and a possible 4 to 10 inches of rain late Thursday night into Friday
morning.
Of course, these 'canes are notorious for not sticking to the playbook;
so we have extra candles, batteries and non-perishable foodstuffs ready
just in case!
To our fellow Elecrafters who are in Isabel's path - Godspeed (we can
still say that, right?), stay dry; and most of all, stay safe! ;)
