[Elecraft] remoting amp question

to remote the amp and tuner in an ec2 for 69$ for the case and 35$ for =
the panel kit why cant i save money and just order the front and rear =
panel kit for 35$ get the 2 side panels and the bottom panel with 3inch =
tiltstand some 2d fastners I have plenty of leftover 4-40 screws.  I =
would not need the top cover or front and rear panels that come with the =
ec2. In other words I would pay 69 for an EC2 Box and most of it would =
sit in my closet as the amp makes up half the box.  Or am I overlooking =
something.  By the way the ham asking bout the buddipole I am very happy =
with mine I forgot the call sorry.
