I see, so building this I would be better served to use the Astatic 636L
noise canceling mic I currently own then.

The Heil MH2 has two elements a dynamic with the wires cut off and a $2
panasonic electret. This is not unusual to use these electret capsules a
highly touted studio mic used them which cost several hundred dollars.
