Greg,

I suspect that you may have something a bit adrift re your K2=
 volume.

On SSB reception I have the AF gain no more than 1/4 on and get=
 more 
than enough volume to fill the shack. Any more then "Mission=
 Control" 
complains. My K2 is #3527 and has the KDSP2 fitted.
