[Elecraft] Your KPA100 Syptoms

Dave, several times under similar conditions, my KPA100 (in an EC2 with 
KAT100) will show similar symptoms: High Current or High Reflected Power. 
The culprit is TPa going out of calibration. It shows a temp of 255 (an 
error state). When I re-calibrate, everything is OK sometimes for weeks. I 
suspected RF in the shack. I put  ferrite isolators in several coax runs 
and so far it is about two months since I've seen the problem. I 
investigated every component in the circuitry involved in measuring TPa but 
found no defect. Hope that leads you to some solution. Best regards and 73
