Paul:
No a single-lever paddle will produce a string of dots with the left side
closed and a string of dashes with the right side closed. With a
semi-automatic key (bug) you get the string of dots with the left side, but
you have to make the dashes separately with the right. The single-lever
paddle differs from an iambic (or two-lever) paddle in that it doesn't
allow both sides to be closed at the same time to produce the iambic
(di-dah-di-dah or dah-di-dah-dit) mode.
