[Elecraft] OT (well, kinda) - Mod info for Motorola Amp Spkrs

Folks:

A while back, there were a number of correspondences regarding Motorola 
Amplified Speakers and how well they played when attached to Elecraft radios.

It appears that, over the years, Motorola has made several different models 
of their external amplified speaker, and there are a number of different 
modifications available for them.

I have gathered together several of the various Motorola external amplified 
speakers and have prepared a several-page PDF describing the wiring changes 
necessary to allow these speakers to work with our K2s and K1s... actually, 
with ANY other radio.

The mods I include are mostly my own, though I have included a copy of the 
mod sheet which has been widely distributed for one of the more current 
Motorola speakers. My mods may not be the easiest, but I feel they are a 
bit 'cleaner' than many of those which just use the existing wires and 
start jumpering things.
