The assembly steps in the manual are correct. There are corrections  
listed in the assembly section of the manual that describes what you  
should do. We just discovered the error on the diagram in the back of  
the manual, and the incorrect value on the schematic.

But, let me emphasize this for anyone building one of these kits - the  
assembly section of the manual is correct in its instructions.

We will add an errata to the manual shortly, and in time, add the  
corrections to the manual with a Rev B release of the doc.

This is correct. R12 is a 4.7K, and it is on the right, closer to S4.  
R13 is a 47 ohm resistor, and of the two resistors, is closer to the  
DB9s
