Roland,

What are you using to indicate power output? If you are using an averaging
wattmeter (most of them are), The levels you are seeing are not far from
normal.

I would recommend that you install the Electret element with the front
facing the grill of the microphone. A thin layer of foam between the
element and the mic case grill will keep the element from vibrating against
the grill. Most of the other foam is in there just to take up the extra
space, so put it back in so that the foam supports the element inside the
case and button things up - it should work FB.

Yes, the foam may alter the response of the mic by a small amount, so if you
wanted to 'play' with it, you could use more or less foam in front of the
element to get a response that is the 'best' for your voice - that effort
would require a lot of cut and try and should you attempt it, do use a
second receiver connected to a recorder to evaluate your voice and and y
changes that you may make.

This evening I looked insite my MH2 mic, because I have to shout very hard
will I put out more than 5 wattt (seen by pep monitor). Even when I set the
K2 pwr-level to 15 watt. Only when I whistle it will take the full watt
setting. Mostly often it is not more than 5 watt when I speak. Ofcourse I've
set the mic gain to 3 and compression to 2-1 or 3-1, less difference in
output.

Insite the MH2 mic is the electet and some foam.
The electet was on its side with the "input" to the foam in a corner of its
case.
So you can say I was talking to the back of the electet when I speak in the
upper side of the MH2 mic.

Is the foam for mechanical or to lower the sound?
And what is the right position for the electet, into the foam and straight
in the case, or on its side and with its back to the upper side of the MH2
case. I don't know how to put it back anymore.

Is there someone who experienced with this foam and the right position of
the electet ?
What will happen with the sound quality when I speak direct to the electet
(not tested yet) ?
Many thanks.
