Subject: ARRL HANDBOOK Motorola AN762
originally QST June and July 1977
ARRL HANDBOOK, EDITION 1987
PAGE 30-32 to 30-34 (3 pages)
also shows a design of the low-pass filter
Diagram, pictures, layout, and page 13 shows the
printed circuit etching patterns in the back.
Not sure of the availability or current FCC legality-- I think
the FCC does not allow partial kits to discourage CB power
amplifiers. Following is from my CCI catalog:
The AN762 is a 140 Watt HF amplifier from
CCI-- Communication Concepts, Inc
508 Millstone Dr.
Beavercreek, OH 45434-5840

Also, from the ARRL Handbook, but the page number
and issue is not given. I'll check in my book that is
a couple of years old.
I believe it is a partial kit and they will sell Printed
circuit boards and components. It looks like there are
approx. 35 components. Power supply required is a
13.6 vdc.
I think the Low Pass Harmonic filter is a separate but
required item.
Reference QST, June , 2003 and the 30 watt amp.
James R. Valdes, WA1GPO, The FARA HF Project, QST,
June, 2003, p. 35-39. Shows design of the low-pass filter
common to any of the Motorola amps of this type.
"The FCC has placed strict limitations on power amplifiers
used below 30 mHz." ...Kits and partial kits.... prohibited.
