[Elecraft] ECN from ZL

Greetings all,
                   Thought I would give this ECN a rattle today, so took the
K2 up to our ClubRooms and tried it on the 3 element TB beam.....cranked it
to the NW and listened on 14.050 @ 0100z. Could hear what sounded like a
weak QSO so tuned up and found the ECN  on 14.052.
Signal strength down this way was very dissapointing (were all you blokes
using KX1's ??) and the best signal was coming from VE3XL and AA3WF ...who I
called at 0146z and got a "sri ur very weak try again"....  which I did, but
couldn't make it apparently.
Called a wee bit later and VE3XL did a QSP and relayed my call into the
Net....Thanks very much.

Think I heard KB2NF and KD5ONS as well, but copy was a bit scratchy.
Perhaps condx will be better next time??
