[Elecraft] KX1 vs K1?

Here's my $0.02....  there's no competition...

IMHO - The K1 and KX1 have two different missions with two different target
users..
I would think that the SOTA and "trail mix" folks would go for the KX1.

As for what to recommend for beginners.... an OHR dummy load or Wattmeter
would be a useful thing for them to have when they've actually made their
choice of which rig to buy...
Of course, I think the toroid or component count might also be a factor..
