At HamCom here in Arlington, TX
I saw one of the K2s had a different knob and I think they said it was
off
A Kenwood, might have been a 570, but don't quote me, it was about the
same
size as the K2 original, but had the rubber outer and tuning dimple.

Subject: [Elecraft] Icom IC706MkII-G Knob

I've been curious about the knob on the Icom IC706Mkll-G, it looks about
the same size as the K2 knob but I've only seen pictures of it. Anyone
looked real close at one? Wonder if it would fit? I looked on the Icom
site for a parts manual but couldn't find one, only found an
Instructional Manual. What catches my eye is the fact that it has both a
rubber ring and a turning dimple. Thanks, Roy Vickers (KF5YU)
