I thought I would put in my 2 cents worth on this subject as I received =
my Second Class Radiotelegraph Operator's Certificate last
January (thanks Mitch). I learned mores code in 1996 to pass my =
Technician Plus license by the Farnsworth method. It was a two week =
marathon, but that started the rest of the problems. Moving from 10 wpm =
to 15 wpm..learn cw agn..from 15 to 18...learn cw agn..I was still =
trying to count ... It was a friend that gave me the "Mill" program =
which changed everything. This is a program that will teach the correct =
way to learn, by sound, a capability to copy any text into the program =
for study, and the history of CW from day one. You can listen and copy =
the original traffic of the Titanic as she hits the iceberg and passes =
traffic, to her sinking. Someone posted this earlier but this program =
(IMHO) is the best. It explains the process of how your brain =
works..i.e...counting uses one side while music uses the other, which =
means it will takes twice the time to copy. I did start with a straight =
key but preferred a paddle because it was easier to get the right rhythm =
for correct spacing. I hope this helps and I do bring my K2 when I =
shipout.
