I guess we would have to refer to any QST paper Farnsworth surely published,
but I believe the method incorporates the assumption you close up the
spacing as you up the speed of learning???   Again, that was what I was
always told/ learned/ heard the code as closer spaced after you learned the
basic characters and went above say 7 wpm.  Just seems logical to close up
the spacing as you up the speed.  IF the character is already at say 15 or
so, how else do you up the aggregate speed?
