[Elecraft] A to B upgrade Q?

Uh, did I just mess up?

I just completed the A to B upgrade and was beginning the alignment of th=
e BFO and such and well... it's not quite right. The range before the upg=
rade had been on the order of 4.2. So I know the diodes and crystals were=
 right. Now after the upgrade it's 2.78 and the recommended range is >=3D=
 3. I did change the location of the ground wires on the X3 and X4 crysta=
ls, from the top to the sides. Could I have screwed up the crystals? The =
upper range is about right (4917.96), but the lower range is a bit high (=
4915.18). Help!

Incidentally, I used the MFJ-259B as a frequency counter (for the PLL tes=
t) by clipping a lead from the MFJ to the probe inserted at TP-3 and adju=
sting C-22 to match. Is this right or not?

Oh, and can you please respond direct? I get this in digest mode!
