I wrote a command line version of an Elecraft K2 rig control program. It is
on http://www.qsl.net/ab6cv
I called it fasttuna. Not all features are implemented but it is quite
usable. It works on RedHat 9 with no problems. It "should" work on most new
Linux distros. Make sure you recompile for your OS. If you have RH9 the
executable, called kookoo, should just run.
This was requested by a blind ham. Kind of a neat idea. He uses a text to
speech converter to read what is "seen" on the screen. I was also thinking
this might be neat to use with your Zaurus PDA. You could telnet in to the
system connected to the K2 and control it remotely this way. If you have
802.11b in your house and the K2 PC is on ethernet too. You get the idea.
Screen size isn't that big a deal if its all text based.
