Thanks Mike and Dave,

I just completed my KPA100 and actually have not been able to get the I/O to
work with Hyperlink or any other communication programs. Port is turned ON
in the menu so I must have some other problems. Probably another "cockpit
error" in constructing the amp, I had a few others too.  :)

I do it all the time.  Do you have the Com port set to 4800 baud, 8 data
bits, no parity and 2 stop bits?  Did you select Kenwood as the radio
type?  Also, did you try direct communication with Hyperterm as
recommended in the KIO2 manual and does that work?
