Hi all,
Simon Brown - HB9DRV - and I have been working hard to improve the way in
which Ham Radio Deluxe works with the K2.
We've been held back a bit by the slow data communication rate (it's only
4k8) so that the 'mouse drag' tuning isn't as smooth as with many other
rigs - but it is working pretty well.
We expect to be able to announce the release of 'final realease' v1.0 this
weekend, as all beta testing has now been wrapped up. Then it's on to v2,
which we expect to contain all sorts of goodies such as user-configurable
buttons &c.
For those who don't know yet, Ham Radio Deluxe is a suite of three programs:
a CAT program, a very sophisticated PSK31 program, and a mapping program
that decodes Maidenhead Locator info from the PSK31 SuperBrowser screen and
displays it on a user-configurable map. This software is FREEWARE, and can
be found at www.hb9drv.ch
You are invited to join the Ham Radio Deluxe usergroup at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ham-radio-deluxe/
Other rigs supported by Ham Radio Deluxe are:
Icom IC703, IC706, IC706MkII, IC706MkIIG, IC718, IC746, IC746Pro, IC756,
IC756Pro, IC756ProII, IC775DSP, IC910H and ICR10 plus Kenwood TS570, TS580,
690, 950 and TS2000. Yaesu FT817, FT847, FT857 and FT897 are also supported.
Basic FT-100 support is available, but functionality is not 100% due to the
rig's limitations.
PLEASE do not reply to this via the list: I'll do my best to answer all
equiries sent directly to me or via the HRD usergroup.
