MIke,
I just completed the initial tests of the unit prior to continuing the
main PCB, it does feel good to know that up to this point all is well.
It also serves as a great primer on doing programming from the front
panel. I don't have earphones or a key yet so I used the key jack
supplied in the kit to manually key the unit while using the phones from
my cell phone... ahd to hold the mic jack just so to get audio but was
able to confirm all functions and tests ... built the kit supplied test
probes even though I have a bench full of expensive gear... the kit
supplied gear works as well as that $$$$ stuff on my bench and is much
better since I can carry it to the field with me! Now on to the next
phase II of the main PCB ....
73 to all, Mike Heit KD7YLA
