Are these good sounding sine waves? or course sounding? If the latter,
have you checked to see if they are still there when using battery power?
It could be hash from a switching power supply.
Second, do you have a computer or monitor sitting close by? and, if so,
do the birdies disappear when the computer/monitor is off?
Third, do you have another rx that is capable of 160 meters? and, if so,
do you hear the birdies on it as well?
Fourth, do you have a dimmer switch on any nearby lighting circuit?, etc.
