[Elecraft] 160M Birdies?

With the antenna connected.  With just a two foot 
piece of coax connected I can hear the signals, 
but they are much weaker; with nothing connected 
to the antenna jack, I can't really hear the 
signals at all.  What I'm hearing must somehow be 
caused by an external signal then, no?   
Commercial AM?
