Howdy Folks,
It is that time of the week again. Time to remind you to turn your radios to 14050 kHz or there abouts this Sunday afternoon
one hour after Big Ben strikes the hour of 12 PM. < Sunday at 6 PM PDT (0100z Monday) That's for you purists out there :) >
Mis-heard call signs and poor keying will be a fact of life from this poor NECOS in training. But I will prevail upon myself to do my
utmost to make it enjoyable for all you expert code ops. Anyone wishing to apply for the very high paying job of net relay may
send notice to this lowly NECOS. The line starts here (.)
Please attend and experience the Elecraft CW Net at least once in your life. I will call the net from the East Coast to the West
Coast in some semblence of order. If you live on the East Coast and have a non-East Coast number please check in when your
region is called. This will allow you to go to bed at a decent hour and not get nagged by your XYL (OM).
I would like to get some folks from NV, MT, WY, SD, NE, KS, WI, MS, TN, IN, NC, VT, NH, DE. If we can get all of these states
to check in to ECN the net will have achieved a WAS via the Elecraft CW Net award. Can a net get a WAS award? Hmmm might
just have to bend the rules a bit and award it to ourselves.
As usual the net will run until the last check in is squeezed out of the aether. At that point I will go QNF then you can have
some fun. Please spread out a bit and use the net frequency for calling. Then more of you can exchange your counties, serial
numbers, phone numbers, pin numbers, or what ever else it is you do while I am writing the net report.
Sunday at 6 PM PDT (0100z Monday) I will run the Elecraft CW Net on 20 meters at 14050 kHz.
If that is busy I'll move up until I find a spot for us to use.
Please join us.
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net control operator 5th class).
