[Elecraft] LCD Problem

Hello List,
 I wanted to say thanks to all the replies I have gotten for my 
question, both on the list and the many that came direct off the list. I 
discovered that one list member lives not more than 40 or so miles from 
me and I plan to meet with him ... there have been so many great replies 
to what I thought you would consider an inane question ... it amazes me 
to see such support and friendly responses. My wife thinks its crazy 
that folks who don't know each other and may never actually see one 
another can be so supportive ... but then I am working on her to get her 
license too...after all, I did teach her how to fly fish, that only took 
about 10 years, and I am still working on getting her to go flying with 
me some day...
 Again, thank you very much to all of you. I read this list all the 
time, I have gone into the archives to make certain I have all the mods 
info... and to that point I just book marked the pages since there are 
so many mods, updates and such. For now I want to limit my effort to 
getting the rig built and on the air...mods and things can come later. I 
did buy most options except the 100 watt amp and the DSP , later on 
those. For now the only "mod" I am doing, with Eric's guidance, is 
installing the parts on the control panel and front panel PCB for the 
KSB2 SSB option so I don't have to remove the panels later ot install 
the options kit. Other than that I think if I just build the basic kit, 
get it on the air... then I can go back in and build and add the other 
options...
