Hi all,
          I can also vouch that the KA5DVS  (James Bennet) PAC-12  Portable 
Antenna is an excellent antenna in both concept and design. I didn't have 
the luxury of making his kitset, but scratchbuilt one from his original 
article.
I intend using it next Month while away portable in our South Island with 
my K2 ( and the missus of course!).
I made it useable on three bands, and have worked DX as well as local 
contacts with excellent reports, and I imagine it would be a worthy 
"stealth" antenna for those who can't put up conventional antennas as well.
Just don't expect it to work like a Tri-band yagi up 30ft.
It has my vote  for portability/performance anyway...The price looks pretty 
good as well.
