Elecrafters,
Let me introduce myself, I am Bernie / N6FN the author of a series of Quick
Reference Guides covering almost all current model Yaesu, Kenwood and Icom
transceivers. Recently I've been working with Elecraft to create one of my
Nifty! Mini-Manuals for the K2.
The Mini-Manuals generally consist of about 12 laminated pages in a 4 x 8
inch format, printed in color and spiral bound into a compact booklet that
is rugged enough to keep on the bench, or to take with you for mobile or
portable operations. Sample guides developed for other radios and
additional information can be seen on my webpage.

Elecraft has already sent me a full set of manuals for the K2 and all its
options. The new Mini-Manual will be a consolidated quick reference guide
covering the K2 and the options. It's my understanding that a number of you
have been asking for this for some time now.
In addition to the full set of manuals I've received from Elecraft, I also
need access to a K2 (with whatever selection of options it happens to have)
to proof and complete the Mini-manual. As you know, completed K2
transceivers are a bit hard to come by, and Elecraft has suggested that I
use this reflector as a means of finding a loaner radio.
I would be willing to exchange a free copy of the new K2 Mini-Manual, plus a
$75 "in-store" credit for any of the products listed on my webpage. And if
shipping is necessary, I will pay for insured shipping both ways.
Preferably I can locate one here in Southern California and just arrange to
pick it up. My home QTH is Escondido, which is near San Diego.
I am currently completing a Mini-Manual for the Kenwood TS-2000, and will
have an opportunity to work with a K2 by about October 20th.
Please contact me by email or phone, if you are willing in helping out with
a loan of a K2 for about two weeks starting around October 20th.
Thanks & 73,
Bernie Lafreniere, N6FN
