Good Evening,
I tried 30 meters this evening for about 20 minutes. 10110 was busy so I went up to
10111 but got squeezed out of there by 2337 and moved up to 10113 until 2351. No
luck however. Seems no one heard me.

But then 2400z came around and I was QRV on 20 meters. The contest died away
and I started calling. K1EV came along and we were off. Then I got Ric, VE3XL, with a
very strong signal. So I had him start calling. Nice job Ric! We got a number of
stations then. But, strangely enough, Ric would call and I would hear. Then we had
others relay the results. Propagation was definitely not reciprocal this evening. My
antenna prof would be enlightened. But then he works with patch antennas above 10
GHz. He was not an HF person at all. The equations do come in handy though. I had
to beat the method of moments into my head for his final exam. Wheww ! :)

Enough prattling on.

The QNS was:

K1EV - Bill - CT (Where did you move?)
K4BN - Vernon - GA Not sure on this call. The sig was very weak.
VE3XL - Ric - ON Thank you for your assistance :)
K5BNO/W7 - Sanford - CO
AA3WF - Mychael - PA You were almost an S1 here in Oregon!
NN8K - Carl - WV
KD0HU - Joel - KS
NE5DL - David - TX

Good group for the weak conditions on 20 meters at 2400z.

I know there were a few more stations underneath but I couldn't get them to respond
to my requests for a repeat. That dog gone non-reciprocal nature of reception this
evening.

73 folks and thanks for your participation,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net control operator 5th class).
