Well K2 #3863 is on it'sway with a little help from Gary & Rick.    I had 
an LCD display that would not change freq.  I had an encoder line from the 
CMU not soldered!!!  Ouch!!  I must have checked that at least three 
times...  Very humbling..

I do have another intermittent problem tho.  The entire LCD display is 
blank.  I dia-assesemble /re-assemble the Front & control boards & 
sometimes it works & other times not.  I have resoldered all the connector 
pins & all looks ok on all boards.  I guess I am looking for acommon line 
that would cause this.  The LED's on the display light, just no display.

Got it on again tonight & finished all the first tests.  I would like to 
find this pblm before I stat again on the RF board assembly..

Any thoughts??
