[Elecraft] FW: K2 keying interface

The key line from your transistor interface goes to the K2 left AND right
through diodes. The transistor pulls both paddle inputs to ground
simultaneously, and the software figures you can't squeeze that accurately,
so it must be hand keying (of course, over about 25 or 30 wpm, this logic
gets confused - you have to select INP HAND). The diodes just provide a
"wired OR" to the two lines, while not mixing them when you use the paddle
manually.
Too hard to draw with text. See page 92 in the manual (or locate "External
Keying Auto-Detect" with Adobe).

Subject: K2 keying interface
Hi Dan. Curious on how you set up your K2 to key it form the PC and your
key.
I am using a transistor switch form the parallel port. I want to hook up my
Bencher paddle in parallel.
I am not sure where you are hooking up the diodes. Can you describe it in
more detail?
Tnx
