[Elecraft] KSB2 at 2.5 KHz

This is for all who may want to install the 2.5 KHz mod to the KSB2.  I found 
that fine tuning with Spectrogram to get both sidebands to sound equally 
natural to be illusive.  In my case the two closely matched sideband patterns on 
Spectrogram did not sound the same on the air.  I asked a local ham with a 
756PRO2 to help me make some on-the-air tests.  We made sure we were on the same 
frequency.   I then made incremental changes in CAL FIL until the LSB sounded 
good with full body (on 75 Mtrs).  We then went to USB and repeated the 
process.  Minute changes were made to the sidebands until they sounded alike.
I had previously made the 2.2 KHz mod using Spectrogram to duplicate the USB 
and LSB passband patterns and received equally good reports on both sidebands.
The 2.5KHz passband is perhaps too wide on Spectrogram to get the two 
sidebands to coincide.  I found the USB passband had to be shifted up frequency (on 
75 Mtrs) to make it sound equal to the LSB passband.  I am using the MH-2 mike 
and have installed two new sets of crystals since my K2 is two years old and 
had the old crystals.
The 2.5 KHz mod is a good mod, and I highly recommend it.  I am getting good 
reports and find my K2 audio on both sidebands is as good and full as any
